Statue commemorating the Chinese presence in France since First World War

Out of the 140000 Chinese who arrived to lend help to the Allies during the First World War, 3000 chose to stay back permanently in France leading to the formation of first Chinese community in Paris, the capital of France. This statue installed outside the Paris Gare de Lyon train station, inaugurated in September 2018, commemorates their arrival to Marseilles in boat and then in train till the Gare de Lyon.
