Pleasant Pheasants

While walking through the green pastures where we came across the horses grazing in Guiry-de-Vexin near Bois de Morval, we also spotted a pair of Pheasants. In French these are referred to as Faisans. Check out photos below. (Had to zoom in to capture these beauties)

  1. We see & hear them quite a lot here. However, they are such silly bird! They have plenty of fields to forage in, yet they always seem to make their way to the roads! Inevitably, they stray into the road & are soon no more..it’s very sad. 😦
